Burn garbage at 1800° F to produce steam and sold to 3M & Hospital. Also pull out from garbage. Have 2 overhead cranes to feed the burners.
Classified area – uses rigid piping and specialized equipment – i.e. light fixtures w/special ratings.
The recycling center takes cans, cardboard, plastic, office paper, food cans, glass, newsprint, metal, catalogs and magazines. They also accept hazardous waste. Check their website at www.popedouglasrecycle.com for a list of accepted materials.
